10/05/2004: "Blondes In Black Cars"

So ClubRav overheated on the way to work today, and I don’t mean in a good way on the inside, I mean the engine. Luckily I was right near a shop and I pulled in and took a cab the last few miles to work. I just got a call from the shop and the guy totally pulled out the ‘she’s a stupid girl’ card on me and shot me some ridiculously high numbers. If I hear one more automotive dude tell me I need to get my timing belt changed I am going to strangle him with the maintenance paperwork I have on my vehicle that proves otherwise. Hell, I used to sell Toyotas, I have a pretty good understanding of their requirements, AND I also know that the biggest repair shop scam on the planet is the ol’ timing belt con. So thankfully Pandora offered to pick me up. She and I will go rescue my ClubRav and bring it someplace reputable, and grab a quick lunch in the process.

So, to any of you auto repair dudes out there who can read… just because I’m female, and just because I’m a little blonde (by choice mind you), doesn’t mean I’m stupid. So stop trying to fcuk with me and just fix the car!

p.s. can anyone tell me the name of the group who did my "header song"? now that's a blast from the past i tell you. good times, good times.
