We had an unannounced house guest last weekend. At first it was a bit of a horrific surprise, but after a bit she became a curious new entity to discover. Apparently some people even keep these “Stick Bugs” as pets.
I’ll ’stick’ with Tukla.
(NOTE: the width of each of the wooden boards is 6 inches.)

Holy Insects Batman! That’s a beautiful creature! It always fascinates me to think that this little guy had the time to grow to the size that we see without being disturbed by human intervention. Way to go!
