Sometimes my abode is a little inconvenient (too far away in the boonies) for the events of my life. Because of this I have learned to become fairly flexible, plan for things in advance, and pack/prepare for adventure. Yesterday was no different.
Before I left the house in the morning I knew that after work I was scheduled for a happy hour with my co-workers, then a little bit later I was heading to another happy hour/Birthday celebration with the bloggers closer to down town, and finally, I would be heading over to meet the returning traveler, Glitterbug, at her house.
Now typically I don’t like to ‘roll’ in my ‘work clothes’. So after I left my colleagues I wanted to ‘slip into something a little more comfortable’ before I headed to my second happy hour. Being miles from my own house, I chose an out of the way little parking lot behind a hotel to do my quick change routine in the car. (We’ve all done this hundreds of times before, right?) So, I stepped out of the car and got a change from the ‘backseat closet’. I returned to the driver’s seat and casually stripped down and put on my other duds. Then I got out of the car, tucked in my shirt, put on my belt and shoes and neatly folded and hung my work clothes and returned them to the ‘backseat closet’. No big deal really, except for two small details that made me laugh.
First, when I got undressed I nearly hyperventilated when I looked down and noticed that I was wearing underwear with a little ‘Superman’ logo on the front! Hey, it wasn’t a phone booth, but come to think of it, I’m not sure Clark Kent even owned a car. The moment was for me alone, and at the time it was priceless. Hey, at least it made ME laugh.
Second, as I drove off I noticed two young gentlemen in a parked car behind me, eyes wide, mouths agape…as IF they had seen something extraordinary. Now as we all know, I’m not exactly shy, but at the same time it’s not like I was standing around naked outside of the car.
Oh well. Oooops. There goes my secret identity.

Given you knew what you were going to do, are you sure the "S" logo underwear wasn’t a subconcious choice?
