Thanks to a couple of “sorry we screwed up” flight vouchers from the airlines, Butterfly just booked a weekend trip to Wisconsin for $17.50 and I booked a weeks vacation to Montana for $37.50.

Apology accepted.

Laurie Anderson has a new tour, and will be in Dallas on October 12. WHEEE! (Almost makes up for the recent Annie Lennox album delay…almost)

Plus, Laurie is going to re-issue “Big Science.” Today, life is good.

The minute I believe in the inevitability of either success or failure, is the moment I begin to suffer under illusion and find myself either running toward one, or from the other. Either way, I loose the “stillness of an instant.”

I am feeling disgruntled about my job lately and this sentiment is bubbling over into a general feeling of discontent regarding my professional/work/things a girl does for money – life. The word that keeps coming to mind is …smarmy.

When I was younger I worked in a Mexican food restaurant (tacky Mexican dress included) and often I felt like I had a greasy film all over me when I got home from work.

That’s kind of how I feel again lately.

What is that thing out there that I can feel good about doing?
